The Story Begins in New York.
Pastor C. K. White, who was born and raised on the Eastern Shore, was serving at a church in Long Island, NY when God called him to return to his home area and start a church. Bayview Baptist Church was begun on April 28, 2008 in a hotel conference room in Seaford, Delaware
The next year we met in a log cabin.
As we quickly outgrew the hotel's facilities, we began looking for a place to rent. We found a log cabin building off of Route 13 in Bridgeville, DE and remained there until 2010, when we found our current Laurel, DE location. God blessed in all kinds of ways during our time at the cabin, and there were certainly some memorable experiences!
Where we are now.
In 2010, we moved into our current property in Laurel, DE. The building needed a lot of work, but our people sacrificed their time to help us get it into shape. We continue to make improvements to the facility today. In 2012, we founded Bayview Christian School. God has blessed us in great ways since we moved to Laurel, DE, but the best days are yet to come! In 2020, we also began ministering in a second location, Salisbury, Maryland!
Our Future
In December 2017, we purchased 15 acres off of Route 9, east of the city of Laurel. This property will be the future home of Bayview Baptist Church-Laurel and Bayview Christian School!
